Outpatient Therapist
TriCare Counseling & Consulting, Inc. can contract with individuals licensed to practice in the state of North Carolina.
We are always looking for individuals who have experience providing outpatient therapy, and are able and willing to visit clients at home in the area where they live. Mental Health Outpatient Therapists (Counselors, Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Psychologists

Responsibilities:
– Conduct Comprehensive clinical assessments and prepare treatment plans
– Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for clients with a variety of mental health concerns
– Collect and analyze data to monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
– Provide counseling services to clients with special education needs
– Utilize art therapy techniques to help clients express themselves and explore their emotions
– Work with clients on the autism spectrum to develop social skills and coping strategies
– Provide chronic pain counseling to help clients manage their symptoms
– Stay up-to-date on the latest research and techniques in psychopharmacology
Requirements:
– Master’s degree in counseling or a related field
– State licensure as a counselor or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire
– Experience working with diverse populations, including those with special education needs, chronic pain, and autism
– Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including art therapy, dance therapy, and psychopharmacology
– Strong communication skills and ability to establish rapport with clients from various backgrounds

Mental Health Counseling Internship ($16-$25) per hour
We offer internships for candidates completing their Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Licensed Psychology programs. We provide clinical supervision and the support as you prepare for licensure.
Job duties include:
- Maintain confidentiality of records relating to the client’s treatment
- Encourage clients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives, helping them to develop insight into themselves or their relationships.
- Collect information about clients through interviews, observation, or tests.
- Counsel clients or patients, individually or in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making changes.
- Perform crisis interventions with clients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.
- Evaluate clients’ physical or mental condition, based on the review of client information.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling programs on clients’ progress in resolving identified problems and moving towards defined objectives.
- Attend weekly supervisions to discuss how sessions have been going and get guidance from your supervisor on how to best improve as a therapist.
- Attend weekly Group Supervision apart from the weekly individual supervision provided
